Terms of use

Last updated: 25 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [BUSINESS NAME] (“Nnoboa”, “we”), [ADDRESS], Ghana. By creating an account or using the website or app, you accept them. Professionals also accept the terms for professionals. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. What Nnoboa is

Nnoboa is an online platform that helps customers find, contact and book independent artisans, technicians and local businesses (“professionals”). Professionals are not our employees or agents. When a customer and a professional agree on a job, the agreement is between them; we are not a party to it.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement. You must give true information, keep your password and login codes secret, and have only one account (a business may have one professional account). You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Requests, quotes and bookings

  • A request is an invitation to quote, not a contract. A booking is made when a customer accepts a quote or a professional confirms a booking.
  • Prices, dates and what the job includes are agreed between the customer and the professional. Get anything important in the request or quote so it is recorded.
  • Either side may cancel through the app before the job starts. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to suspension.
  • For visits, the customer gives the professional a 4-digit code on arrival. For workshop jobs, the item is logged when dropped off and released with a pickup code. Keep your codes private and only share them at the right moment.
  • If a professional marks a job as done and the customer neither confirms it nor reports a problem within 48 hours, the job is confirmed automatically.

4. Payments for jobs

Customers pay professionals directly, by cash, Mobile Money or as agreed. Nnoboa does not receive, hold or guarantee these payments; the “I have paid” and “payment received” buttons only record what you tell us. Before sending Mobile Money, check that the name shown on your phone matches the professional’s account name. Never pay anyone who asks you to pay outside what was agreed or to a different person.

5. Paid features for professionals

Plans, featured listings and lead credits are described on the pricing page, paid through Paystack, and covered by our refund policy. Sponsored placements are labelled.

6. Reviews and content

Reviews, photos and messages must follow our reviews and content policy. You keep ownership of what you upload, but you allow us to show it on Nnoboa and in our marketing of your profile for as long as it is on the platform.

7. Verification badges

Badges show only what our team checked, at the time it was checked (for example, a phone number or an ID). They are not a guarantee of anyone’s skill, honesty or work.

8. What you must not do

  • Give false information, impersonate someone or create fake accounts or reviews.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against or defraud anyone.
  • Post illegal, offensive or misleading content, or other people’s photos without permission.
  • Use other users’ contact details for anything other than the job, or for spam.
  • Copy or scrape the platform, interfere with its security, or try to get around limits or payments.

9. Suspension and closing accounts

We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, usually after a warning unless the matter is serious. You can delete your account at any time (see delete your account).

10. Problems and complaints

If something goes wrong with a job, report it through the booking, or see our complaints page. We review the job record and help both sides, but we cannot force a professional or customer to pay, refund or redo work. You keep your right to go to the police, a court or another body.

11. Our responsibility

We work to keep Nnoboa available and safe but cannot promise it will always be error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for the work, conduct, prices or payments of professionals or customers, or for indirect losses. Where we are responsible, our total liability to a professional is limited to what they paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Ghanaian law, including consumer protection law.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms. We will show the new date above and tell you about important changes in the app or by SMS or email. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction.
